Overview:
On green issues the centre will employ a series of renewable energy sources, and an active process of re-cycling will allow companies to re-utilise waste materials from other companies, instead of creating increased land fill. In creating this cloister of similarly focused industries, the IMPZ Free Zone will allow close knit companies to drastically reduce production costs as raw materials, transportation etc will all be centrally located. From a tax perspective, as with other Dubai Free Zones, the ability exists for companies to enjoy tax exemptions on materials, production, profits and earnings, with the additional bonus of being able to acquire 100% property ownership.
The commercial side of the complex will provide warehousing, offices, showrooms, production suites, exhibition & conference facilities, exclusive media services, a business centre and logistics centre, all in addition with the ability for investors to buy their own land and build to their own specifications. Residentially, the accommodation available will suit individuals and families who work with the zone, with a dedicated transport system, full entertainment, shopping and educational facilities, all with a focus on affordability. Location: The IMPZ is located just beyond the Al Khali Road to the South East of the exclusive Emirates Hills development, and is about 30 South West of the Dubai International Airport. Living and working in Dubai is going to allow you to see an amazing combination of the past and the present. Traditional markets, known as Souqs are an incredible insight into Dubai’s history as little has changed in the way trading has taken place over the centuries. Most of the more exotic souqs such as the Spice and Gold markets are located around the Dubai Creek area, where boat trips and accompanying guides can also enlighten. Follow these up with the ultra modern architecture & facilities of Downtown Burj Dubai & the Burj Tower and you will find yourself being rocketed through the centuries in the matter of hours Desert safaris are also a proven hit and there are many operators offering blistering excursions. Jumeirah Beach offers the opportunity to cool off in the soothing Gulf waters. By road: The IMPZ has its own dedicated transportation system, but getting around the rest of Dubai by car is relatively straightforward. The international driving license is recognised and accepted in Dubai, and if necessary a temporary license can be obtained for holder of a UK passport. Bus services are as acceptable as anywhere in the world and taxi services are easily found. By train: The Dubai Metro was opened in September with a limited number of stations providing service. In due course as the project nears completion the Metro line should include service to the IMPZ. By foot: No expense has been spared in the development of Dubai and the focus is always on quality and functionality. As such pedestrian access is plentiful, safe and easy to use.
Climate: Temperature highs of over 40 deg C are not uncommon during the daytime between June & August. Nigh time temperatures in this period lower to around 25-30 deg C. Terrain: Dubai is a desert city, located alongside the Gulf. Geologically very sound, the risk of tsunami & earthquake are highly unlikely as the nearest seismic fault line is over 120km & the Gulf sea is regarded as so shallow as to pose little or no danger.
