Belgravia, London UK's most expensive address
Some of the most expensive property in the UK is to be found in the capital and research has revealed the most expensive location is Chester Square in Belgravia.
London property prices have surged ahead, leading the UK's recovery in house prices and the for the second year, Chester Square has been revealed as the most expensive street in the country. The average cost of property in the Square is more than £6.5 million.
The area of Belgravia is home to some pretty high profile London residents including football club owner Roman Abramovich, author Mary Shelley and a past Prime Minister.
Luxury London properties have seen values greatly increase during the last year, regaining much of the depreciation seen during the height of the recession. On average, homes in the Square have appreciated by around £400,000 in the last twelve months.
City agents have noticed an increase in buyer interest of top notch London property for some months now including overseas investors and are pleased to report no signs of the market cooling.
