Best hopuse in Cape Town sold for R60million

Nettleton Road, Cape Town said to be the number one address in the whole of the South Africa real estate market has just gained a new resident with the sale of a luxury villa.

The four storey property, which in the past has accommodated royalty, world famous actos and crooners, was sold to billionaire Formula One team owner Vijay Mallya for a massive R60million and includes a 25m infinity pool, magnificent views of Clifton Beach and glass elevator. While the listed price was originally R80million the agreed sale price is a record for the Atlantic Seaboard district.

Famous names that have stayed at the luxurious mansion include British singer/songwriter George Michael. American actor Nicolas Cage and Prince Carl Philip of Sweden.

Several other properties in this prestigious region of Cape Town have traded owners this year for between R30 and R40million.
