British ambassador: Bulgaria has a positive image

The British ambassador has said that Bulgaria has a positive brand image in the UK, which could further increase the popularity of the destination.

Steve Williams, a UK representative located in the country, said the number of Britons travelling to Bulgaria and living there illustrates its appeal, Novinite reports.

In an interview with the publication, he spoke of how people have moved to property in Bulgaria after hearing of its merits through word of mouth.

Mr Williams commented: "All that shows that there are many underlying positives to the brand image of Bulgaria in the UK.

He said that the number of British companies wanting to set up offices and divisions in the country is a further indication of its increasing allure, which may boost the number of investors buying property in Bulgaria.

In other news, the Post Office Travel Services Costs Barometer recently calculated that buying a basket of ten everyday items is cheaper on average in Bulgaria than any other country in the world.
