Chinese developer delivers hotel in just 15 days
A new record has been set in China for the construction of a 30-storey building completed in just over a fortnight.
The Chinese property market has faced many challenges over the last eighteen months involving spiralling property prices – the government keen to get prices under control brought in new legislation designed to cool the markets and while on the surface it appears they may have worked sales of new properties have stalled and developers are being urged to cut residential real estate prices to stimulate sales.
Work on the Ark Hotel began in the Hunan province on December 2nd by the Broad Group and using pre-fabricated sections the hotel which includes over 300 bedrooms, more than three dozen suite including eight ambassador suites, a swimming pool and heli-pad took just 360 hours or 15 days.
The hotel has been designed to withstand earthquake activity up to a magnitude of 9.0 and is being celebrated as ground-breaking technology which could transform the market for property in China.
