Cityscape goes global in Dubai

Not only is real estate in the UAE looking ahead with different strategies for 2010 but Cityscape Dubai is also undergoing something of a transformation.

Held annually for the last eight years, Cityscape Dubai has showcased the developments, ideas and ambitions for property in Dubai, with other Cityscape events being held separately in North America, South America, Saudi Arabia, India and Russia.

In 2010, the event will change tack, with the global economic landslip giving the organisers the incentive to re brand and re focus the event to become Cityscape Global. This year the exhibition will highlight real estate opportunities from around the world.

Given its globally central position and the hotel and leisure facilities that Dubai clearly has, the organisers have high hopes for the event. Last year, 10 000 participants from outside of the UAE attended, representing 25% of all attendance.

This new direction for the Dubai venue is hoped to change all that to a 50% attendance. Once again, Dubai is taking the initiative to do what it’s good at and to use what it has to best effect.
