Commercial property in Dubai 'great for retail'

Commercial property in Dubai 'great for retail' People living in property in Dubai can benefit from one of the best retail experiences in the world, according to the results of a new report.

A study carried out by property consultants CB Richard Ellis shows that 46 per cent of international retailers are attracted to Dubai, making it the fourth most popular location on the planet.

Peter Gold, head of cross border retail for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at the firm, says retailers are less concerned with markets and more with shopping population, especially during the recession.

"It is often the city and not the country which is important," he explains.

Mr Gold adds that the popularity of commercial property in Dubai illustrates its standing as a "true force" in the world of retailing.

In related news, developer Al Fajer Properties has announced that its latest property in Dubai is well on course to be completed.
