Lifestyle attractions tempt buyers to Spain

Spain's lifestyle attractions are helping to support the housing market during the current economic downturn.

Property firm Taylor Woodrow de Espana stated that the European country offers beautiful weather, stunning beaches and attractive scenery.

As a result, it is continuing to prove popular with foreign property buyers from countries such as the UK.

Victor Sague, sales and marketing director at the company, said this is not surprising, as not many short-haul destinations offer all these lifestyle attractions.

"Purchasers are clearly still voting with their feet," he commented.

Mr Sague added that overseas property buyers have not been deterred by negative stories in the press about land grabs, cuts in budget airline routes and falling house prices.

Indeed, a number of analysts have recently suggested that buyers are choosing to take advantage of the reductions by purchasing a home that was previously out of their reach.
