New homes market expected to build across UK

Despite the current economic gloom the majority of major UK property developers are confident that the industry will continue to strengthen throughout the remainder of 2012.
Industry experts believe the shortage of new homes throughout the UK property market will support the development of new sites and that current stable conditions will continue as the economy fights to break the recession.
Taylor Wimpey, of the country’s largest house builders forecast profits to increase by around 30 per cent by the end of year. Already the amount of homes completed during the first six months of the year stands at 5,083 compared to 4,707 during the first half of 2011.
Other developers who are already ahead of the game include Persimmon who announced a 6 per cent increase on the first half year results and Gleeson who said its order book had increased by 18 per cent.
