New owner sought for Disney childhood home

It’s well documented that USA real estate prices have been greatly affected by the banking crisis and while some regions have started to recover one property listed for sale has been reduced by $100,000 and comes complete with a magical history yet still no buyer has come forward.
The birthplace and childhood home of undoubtedly the world’s most famous cartoon filmmaker Walt Disney is on the market but so far more than four years after it was listed remains unsold.
The unremarkable three bedroom property in the centre of Chicago gets hundreds of visitors every year as tourists regularly stop by to photograph the legendary moviemaker’s birthplace and while there have been several firm offers to buy number 2156 Tripp Avenue in recent years all bids have failed due to problems securing an American mortgage finance plan.
Current owner Radoje Popovic says there is plenty of interest in the home – high numbers of artists are keen to view but lack of finance is always the stumbling block.
