Renovated London property valued at £200m
The London property market has its fair share of luxury properties most of them running into millions of pounds but by far the most expensive residence is an address in central London owned by Qatar’s royal family.
Following an extensive refurbishment project the property in question – Dudley House located in the exclusive Park Lane is about to earn the title of Britain’s most expensive property.
Owner Shaikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani bought the London property for around £37.5 million six years ago and in the years that have passed extensive renovation work has turned the 185 year old mansion into a sumptuous palatial property fit for royalty. The renovation and restoration project has cost tens of millions of pounds.
When the work is finished Dudley House, complete with stunning views across London’s Hyde Park, will feature 17 bedrooms, 14 reception rooms, an 80ft picture gallery and a 50ft ballroom.
On a recent visit a property specialist suggested the Park Lane property could fetch up to £250m if the owners decided to sell.
