Spain steps up overseas marketing campaign

Authorities in
Portugal and
Spain are set to step up their joint efforts to promote the Iberian Peninsula overseas.
The tourist offices in both countries launched the PortugalSpainBoth marketing strategy two years ago in order to provide a single information resource to leisure travellers.
However, the organisations have confirmed that they will soon launch a revamped website and new print and online advertisements.
As well as attracting tourists, this may also encourage more people to consider purchasing a holiday home or investment property in Spain.
Indeed, a recent study by Holiday-Rentals and Savills identified the country as the most popular location among British foreign property buyers.
Javier Pinanes, director of the Tourist Office of Spain, commented: "We are keen in continuing our efforts to promote the two destinations."
He added that both groups are particularly eager to drive brand presence in the
US leisure market.
