UK holiday homes enjoy resurgence
When money is tight luxury goods are one of the first things to be struck off the monthly shopping list for most people closely followed by expensive leisure activities - holidays abroad are often one of the first luxuries to go.
Experts believe 2011 will see a rise in UK property owners holidaying within the UK and with Sterling still relatively weak against the Euro many prospective holiday home owners are considering buying somewhere along the extensive British coastline cutting out the need for ever increasingly expensive air travel.
British holiday homes parks have reported a large increase in buyer enquiries, Haven Holidays estimated a 75 per cent increase during 2010 and Park Holiday Homes saw sales increase by 15 per cent last year.
Although caravans will not rise in value the way a traditional holiday cottage will they do offer tremendous value for money at a fraction of the cost and in these cash strapped times every little helps.
