Wall Street workers return to The Hamptons
While the USA real estate market continues to struggle on the lengthy and difficult road to recovery no such hurdles appear on the horizon of the exclusive area of The Hamptons.
The financial district of Wall Street appears to have bounced back to 'wealthiness' with reports of high bonuses back on the agenda for high flying financiers and this has meant brisk business for the realtors of the Hamptons.
Property brokers in the area are reporting record figures of property sales within the prestigious area popular with the rich and famous. Sales figures for the first six months of the year are more than double for the same period in 2009. By the end of the second quarter official figures show more than $1.5 billion worth of property had changed hands.
One realtor commented that activity levels were back to normal and confidence had obviously recovered among residents and buyers alike with new listings being added each week.
